McGee's Bees began with our 16-year-old son, two hives, and a whole lot of curiosity. His passion has grown into a family side job we all love — handcrafting beeswax candles, lip balms, soaps, and lotions while we wait for our very first honey harvest in Spring 2027.
Our Story
McGee's Bees wasn't planned — it buzzed its way into our lives. Micah's fascination with bees became two backyard hives, and those hives became a family adventure. While the bees build up their honey for our first harvest in Spring 2027, we're keeping busy handcrafting goods with their beeswax: candles, lip balms, soaps, and lotions, all poured and blended in small batches at home.
Our 16-year-old son Micah fell down the beekeeping rabbit hole — books, videos, late-night notes on hive care, bee behavior, and everything in between.
Research turned into reality: two hives, right here at home. What started as his project didn't stay his for long.
One by one we all got pulled in — pouring candles, blending balms, wrapping soaps. His passion became something the whole family enjoys together.
More hives are coming in 2027, and with them our very first honey harvest in the spring. We can hardly wait to share it.

Meet the Bees
These are our actual bees — not a stock photo in sight. Here they are gathered around their dish for a well-earned drink. Every candle, balm, soap, and lotion in our shop starts with wax from these busy little ladies and their two hives.
The Shop
While we wait on the honey, the bees keep us well supplied with wax. Everything here is handcrafted by our family in small batches with pure beeswax and honey.

4 oz JarRaw honey — sweet, delicate and decadent. Made with 100% pure beeswax from our own hives, hand-poured into a 4 oz glass jar and topped with our sculpted honeycomb and little bee. The closest thing to dipping a spoon straight into the comb.

Coming Spring 2027
